How long can I keep the skip for?
You can keep the skip for two weeks. It is possible to hire the skips for a longer period: this must be arranged upon booking and a charge may apply.
Where can the skip be dropped?
The skip must be placed on private property: this may be your driveway or garden.
What happens when the skip cannot be placed on private property?
If it is not possible for the skip to be left on private property then we offer a wait-and-load service using either a skip lorry or a transit van (for smaller loads – email us for our Man & Van Small Collections Service quote. We no longer deal with council-issued road permits, so skips cannot be left on the public highway.
How much notice is needed to hire a skip?
We offer a same day/next day local delivery service. We will try our very best to get the skip to you as quickly as possible.
Access onto my property is limited, what access is required for the lorry?
We have two sizes of skip lorries available, our smaller lorries require a minimum width of 8ft 3in (2.5m) and our larger lorries require a minimum width of 9ft (2.7m).
What happens to the waste in my skip once it has been collected?
When the driver collects your skip, he will bring it back to our Waste Transfer Station, where it will be tipped, sorted and processed. We aim to recycle as much of your waste as possible to minimise the amount which gets taken to landfill. We recycle around 85% of the waste which we receive.
